MARSING, Idaho (KTVB)--A Marsing Middle School student was in police custody Wednesday evening after authorities say they found a pellet gun.

The incident happened after the normal school day, but there was at least one after-school program in session. The school was locked down. The Marsing superintendent said a student saw another student with a pellet gun.

Police responded and said they found the gun in a backpack belonging to the 15-year-old male student who was taken into custody. Police transported the student from the scene. He faces a felony charge.
