This time of the year is amazing for looking to the skies at night. Especially if you are far away from the light pollution of town. When you head to the Pomerelle Star Party you'll see more stars than possible if you stay in town.

There are more than just stars to be seen this time. Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars are all visible by eye and even more amazing through a telescope!

The 10th Annual Pomerelle Star Party is Saturday July 2nd. Events during the day will include water rockets and solar viewing from 3:30 to 5pm and the night sky orientation talk will begin at 8:30. Night time telescope viewing will be from 9:45 to midnight.

Food concessions will also be open at the Pomerelle lodge.
