After last year, the city of Twin Falls closed the Leaf and Christmas Tree Disposal Station at 136 Maxwell Ave, due to increased costs and low participation. But that doesn't mean you're now left holding on to a dead tree you don't know what to do with. Here are a couple of ways you can legally dispose of your dead Christmas tree in Twin Falls.

Since the disposal station is no longer an option, the city has provided vouchers to Twin Falls residents allowing you to dispose of  up to 280 pounds of leaves, trees and other seasonal debris, free of charge at the Twin Falls Transfer Station through January 10, 2016.  The Transfer station is located at 2186 Orchard Drive East, just South of Twin. You should have received the voucher with your October 2015 utility billing statement.

If you live in Twin Falls city limits and PSI collects your garbage, they'll take your tree as part of their weekly curbside service.  If you have a very large tree, the city asks that you cut it into manageable, 3 feet sections.

If you have any more questions about the vouchers, you can contact the City of Twin Falls at 208-735-7287
