Where Can Republicans And Democrats Get Along
October 2, 2012 6:41 AM We have been enduring the political battle between the Republicans and Democrats for a few months as we get closer to the 2012 presidential elections. I have a feeling we haven’t seen nuthin’ yet! The Presidential debates start this Wednesday in Colorado. Despite all the back and forth and differences in opinions between the two parties, I realized on Sunday that there is a place where we can all get along. As I walked through the parking lot at church I saw a car with a Romney 2012 sticker parked next to an Obama stickered car…and nobody inside was yelling. This doesn’t mean that all is well though – In 1960, 5% of Americans said they’d be upset if their child married someone from the other political party. Now 40% are opposed to it . . . half of Republicans, and 30% of Democrats. Does political party influence your relationships?
