My wife is from Wichita Kansas, so she is no stranger to the dangers of a tornado, and I lived in Kansas City for a few years...but never saw a twister.  But, over the weekend, it seems that everyone in the Midwest had the chance to see a tornado up close.  Some were small, but many were large and caused destruction comparable to a war bombing!  One town, Joplin Missouri, was hit yesterday evening by a tornado a half mile wide and went on for 6 miles.  Reports this morning say the death toll has reached 89 and could be higher. So, as we celebrate that the end of the world didn't happen, please remember and pray for the families that suffered and are now dealing with tragedy.
Here's a video from the Weather Channel showing the damage and severity of the storms.
