a.l.p.h.a Magic Valley Moves To New Location

Organization expands services and programs.

Allies Linked for the Prevention of HIV and AIDS, (a.l.p.h.a), is proud to announce the opening of its new office in Twin Falls.

For the past eight years a.l.p.h.a  has been linking with others in Southern Idaho with testing and education to prevent the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, while also providing for those already affected. With the opening of our office in Twin Falls last year, that mission successfully expanded to the Magic Valley area.

a.l.p.h.a. Founder and Director Duane Quintana says, over the past year, the group has worked to identity areas of need in the Magic Valley when it comes to HIV testing, education, and support services. “Besides moving into a new location that will offer more room as well as better privacy for our clients, as part of our mission, we have recently expanded our services to include support for those affected by HIV and AIDS. We also continue to expand our testing locations, services, and volunteer opportunities.”

To celebrate, the organization  will be a hosting a Chamber of Commerce open house/ribbon cutting on Wednesday, May 25th from ten a.m. until noon at the new office, located at 213 3rd street East in  Twin Falls. Refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.  Everyone is  encouraged to come find out  what’s new at a.l.p.h.a. Magic Valley as well as  learn more about our successes in the past year.

Founded in 2003, a.l.p.h.a. is an organization committed to preventing the transmission of HIV and AIDS in Idaho and around the country. We accomplish this through education, public awareness, testing and providing supportive services to infected and affected individuals.

Volunteers are available for interviews BEFORE the event. There will also be interview opportunities following. Please help us get the word out about this important service to our area.
