Dierkes Lake Is The Place To Be On Weekends In Twin Falls

What a great weekend! We had a wonderful Mother's Day and Mother Nature blessed us with great weather. We celebrated with a trip to see the Shoshone Falls and some outdoor adventure at Dierkes Lake. We weren't the only ones! When we got down to the lake, the parking lot was full and there were more people there than I have ever seen. I had no idea that Dierkes is the place to be when the weather gets hot.

I will admit that it was beautiful down in the canyon and the water did look inviting in the 90 degree heat, but the smell and filth of the water quickly kept me on the grass. Am I the only one who is grossed out by the water in Dierkes? Is it bad that I let my kids swim even though I would never get in the water?
