Do You Have A Plan For Your Kids If They Get Lost?

Father Of The Year Award goes to me for this one! Yesterday my wife had a doctors appointment so I took the two babies in the car to get the two big kids from the bus stop. The bus stop is maybe 100 yards from our front door, so it isn't a big deal to have the kids walk - except there is usually a big dog on the loose and it was really cold and windy (plus it started snowing) so I thought it would be nice. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes in the car with the two babies going crazy because they were so cooped up. I went back home to get the phone number for the bus company and found the big kids - the ones we had been waiting for - already at the house huddles together on the trailer bed!

Somehow we had passed each other and I was waiting for them and they were waiting for me wondering why I wasn't home! So I took them inside and gave them hot chocolate and talked about a plan for if that ever happens again.

Do you have a plan for your kids? Ours now involves giving a key to our oldest so even if we aren't home, they can still get in!
