The Flaming Lips and Miley Cyrus Record the Beatles’ ‘A Day in the Life’
The proposed remake of the Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' by the Flaming Lips and Miley Cyrus seems to be taking shape. Frontman Wayne Coyne has given us a preview of one the original album's most celebrated moments. The video is embedded above.
Consequence of Sound reports that Cyrus has recorded Paul McCartney's middle section on 'A Day in the Life.' Coyne filmed a snippet of a session of a keyboard part being added that included Cyrus' vocals, and posted it to his Instagram account with the following caption.

Last month, the odd pairing of the pop star and the psychedelic indie band made headlines when they recorded 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' and revealed that it was part of an entire tribute to the Beatles' legendary work. A release date for the album has yet to be determined.
