Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Water levels below Milner Dam were increased on Monday for the benefit of local fish populations. Starting Monday, the flow levels were increased from 0 to 2,000 cubic–feet per second. The purpose of the increase is to provide additional water for salmon migration in the Lower Snake and Columbia Rivers. The flow will continue down the river and pass over Shoshone Falls and is expected to last until early June.

With the increase in flow, the public is asked to use caution when recreating on or near the river as the water will be cold and fast.
