A subdivision in the Wood River Valley are under a boil advisory after a water main broke Wednesday afternoon.

According to the city of Hailey, people living in the  Woodside Subdivision have been asked to boil any water after water line broke a little before 3 p.m. near Woodside Boulevard and Snowbank Drive. The city has sent samples to be tested for possible contamination, but the results will not be known for a couple days.

The water main break is under repair and some service has been restored to some of the homes in the subdivision. Residents are encouraged to use bottled water or boil water for consumption at least one minute.

The city said boiling the water will remove any risk from drinking it. The city is made up of various pressurized water zones, therefore the break only impacts this one particular area.
