I-84 a Rough Spot for Drivers in Southern Idaho Saturday
Too much holiday cheer landed a Burley woman in a hospital along with a DUI. Idaho State Police tell Newsradio 1310, KLIX, 34-year-old Jenny Bodley lost control of a Kia Spectra she was driving, overcorrected and struck a tractor-trailer rig.
It happened on I-84 eastbound, near Hazelton.
The crash closed a portion of the road for two hours.
Troopers say there was an open container in her vehicle and she was legally drunk.

Meanwhile, several hours later, a crash near Malta sent a Buhl woman to Cassia Regional Hospital. State Police explain it happened westbound on I-84, south of Malta. 28-year-old Shay Orcutt attempted to make a lane change and lost control. The driver of a big rig attempted to stop but struck the front of Orcutt’s SUV. Lanes were closed for roughly two hours. The driver of the truck, a Florida man, wasn’t hurt.
