Three Men Charged in Separate SA Crimes Against Children in Idaho

Recently, Idaho authorities have released information on a number of horrible crimes that happened to children involving adults and improper conduct.

The men are all from Southern Idaho cities and were charged within the last few months.

Twin Falls Man Sentenced For Sexually Assaulting a 4-Year-Old

A 35-year-old man from Twin Falls was sentenced in an Ada County Court to 45 years in prison for lewd conduct after he was arrested for sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl at a Boise restaurant in the children’s play area.

The assault happened in October of 2024, after which the man, Joseph Galan, fled to Oregon before turning himself in to authorities in January of this year.

Man From Burley, Idaho, Charged For Lewd Conduct With a Minor

A 24-year-old man is charged in Cassia County and Twin Falls County with lewd conduct with a minor and rape. KMVT reported that the court documents detail that Larry Herem, from Burley, gave the underage girl alcohol and then had sexual contact with her on May 7th, 2025.

Then, on May 17th, 2025, Herem again engaged in lewd conduct with the teenage girl in a car near the Perrine Coulee Waterfall. The girl stated she was too intoxicated in the first assault to know what was happening. Herem claims that the girl told him she was 18 years old.

Man Charged for Multiple Sexual Crimes in Southern Idaho Against a Teen Girl

In August, police in the Kimberly/Hansen area of Southern Idaho arrested a 20-year-old man on charges of rape and lewd conduct with a young teen girl and her younger sister. James Dover was charged with five counts of lewd conduct and rape.

The teenage girl says Dover touched her and her younger sister in inappropriate ways. Dover had a preliminary hearing set for August 29th, but we are unable to find any results or additional scheduled court dates.

Lewd conduct with a minor is a felony in Idaho and could be punishable with a prison sentence up to a life term.
