Idaho often leads the nation with the highest employment numbers but it’s not perfect.

The state still has the 7th highest number of workers earning minimum wage.  I still recall the first conversation I ever had with State Representative Maxine Bell.  She explained the job growth was great but her goal was to bring jobs that paid much higher wages.

The effort is paying off.  The positive difference is Idaho’s five year improvement from leading the nation in low paying jobs to sliding to seventh.  And it appears high tech firms are increasingly falling in love with the state.
