A few weeks ago, we got to experience a supermoon that was large and bright. When I saw it, I was impressed, but the next full moon will be even better.

The largest and brightest supermoon of the year is set to rise this week, and here’s when you’ll need to look for it.

When is the Largest and Brightest Supermoon of 2025 Over Idaho

Actually, I may not need to tell you when to look for it because it might be so bright you’ll think it’s still daytime. Technically, the moon will reach its full phase and be closest to the Earth at 12:20 UTC (5:20 MT in Idaho time), but you’ll be able to experience the supermoon pretty much anytime the moon is visible between November 4th and the 6th.

What makes this full moon so super? The moon will appear 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than a normal full moon. After the recent Daylight Saving time change, many of us will be happy to have a little extra light at night. Space Lane posted a photo and useful information about the November supermoon on Facebook.

Normally, we might be worried about cloud coverage ruining our view of anything happening in the sky at night, but I have a feeling the brightness of this supermoon might be able to cut through some of the clouds. Many parts of Idaho do have clouds or storms in their evening forecasts, so you’ll have to step outside at night to see if you can get an unobstructed view where you live or not.

This November Supermoon is also called a Full Beaver Supermoon, which we think is hilarious, it will be about 2,000 miles closer than the last supermoon, and can be best seen on the evenings of November 4th and 5th.

LOOK UP! Don't Miss Every Full Moon in 2025
