Idaho’s Most Devastating Flood Caused HOW MUCH In Damages?!

You know - if there's one thing we love, it's a good thunderstorm. Dark clouds, rumbles in the distance, flashes of lightning, and steady rain; what's not to love?

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the Treasure Valley is exactly a prime spot for thunderstorms. Sure, we'll get rain; we might even get thunder now and then.

But an actual thunderstorm? Don't hold your breath.

The downside of a big storm

Unfortunately, not all thunderstorms and rainfall are as peaceful as we'd like them to be. Sometimes extreme rainfall can result in some extreme problems, you know, like flooding.

Mother Nature is known to not give a you-know-what and if you need proof, look no further than Idaho's weather history.

Flooding is one of the most dangerous situations to deal with and even if you make it out, you have to deal with all of the damages to your property. If you've ever dealt with flood damage as we have, then you know if you don't have "back-ups for your back-ups", you're essentially hitting the reset button.

And, allow us to get personal about it: dealing with flood damage sucks.

The worst part about it is, that even if you prepare or have a plan in place, you still have to get rid of your damaged property or say goodbye to sentimental items that can't be replaced.

Unfortunately, Idaho has had some serious floods including one that caused a staggering $65 million in damages. Even crazier, that particular flood took place not that long ago.
