Jerome ID Low-Cost, Drive-Up Dog Shot, Chip Clinic Planned Again

For the second time in a couple of months, the city of Jerome, Idaho, is hosting a mobile, low-cost dog vaccine and chip clinic in just a few days. The effort is in response to the alarming number of unvaccinated dogs in southern Idaho.

Multiple area businesses are promoting a second opportunity this summer to get your dogs' much-needed vaccinations and location chipping, including the City of Jerome Animal Shelter. The event, which allows dog owners to avoid going into a clinic to have their pets treated, is planned for Saturday, September 19.

The address where the mobile clinic will be conducting these services is 251 East Frontage Street South. Planners are reminding those interested in using the service to expect long delays due to the likelihood of a large response from local dog owners.

Jerome Is Hosting Another Drive-Thru Animal Chip And Vaccine Clinic On September 19

Costs for treatments include rabies vaccines for $25, parvo/distemper for $10, Bordetella (kennel cough) for $10, and microchipping for $5, according to the post shared by the Jerome Animal Shelter. No appointments are necessary.

Shots and chips will continue on September 19 while supplies last. Wait times can run hours, so make sure to have plenty of free time to wait until your turn. Those utilizing these services need not be Jerome residents. The clinic will be held from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.

Arriving very early at the clinic is recommended for those who want quicker service.
