Events For The Weekend Of December 7th to the 9th 2023

Another week is winding down, and the days of shopping for the holidays are ticking day by day. Weekends and days are limited before the holiday is here, and while many cookies need to be baked, gifts need to be bought and presents need to be wrapped, there still needs to be time for fun and to enjoy the season. Take time away from the baking, the shopping, and wrapping, and get out and enjoy some of the many holiday events happening in the Magic Valley this weekend.

Thursday, December 7 through Saturday, December 9 - Burley Straw Maze

Are you bummed that the straw mazes from fall and Halloween time have gone away? Do not fret, you can still go to the Burley Straw Maze and get lost, but this time with Christmas lights in the maze. Lost in Christmas is now open on weekends, and will be open Thursday through Saturday from 5 PM to 10 PM all three nights. Admission is $8 per person, but there is more than just the maze. There are also wagon rides, the swing ride, Christmas trees, if you still need one, a bull ride, and of course food. Friday, December 8 and Saturday, December 9 - Grandy's Christmas Craft Show

Christmas shopping is in full swing, and it can often be tough to know where to start and what to get. How about shopping local and attending one of the many Christmas and holiday shows taking place this season? Grandy's Christmas Craft Show is back this weekend for the second consecutive weekend. It will be taking place out in Buhl on Friday and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 6 PM at Snake River Sprinklers. Friday, December 8 - Liberty Quartet in Concert

How would you like to get out of the house, and enjoy a concert this weekend? Liberty Quartet will be performing this Friday at Kimberly Nazarene, located at 2250 East 3750 North in Kimberly. The concert begins at 7 PM, but you will want to arrive early to guarantee a seat and a good one at that. Friday, December 8 and Saturday, December 9 - 'A Christmas Story' The Musical

'A Christmas Story' is one of the most watched Christmas movies every year, and is a classic. While watching the movie is great, how would you like to see the musical, live? 'A Christmas Story' The Musical will be performed this weekend at the Orpheum Theatre in Twin Falls. There will be two shows this weekend, with one on Friday and Saturday, with both starting at 7 PM. Tickets start as low as $17.50. Saturday, December 9 - Breakfast with Santa

Start your Saturday morning off right with a delicious pancake breakfast, crafting an ornament, and taking a picture with Santa. Santa with Breakfast is taking place this Saturday at Kimberly High School and will happen from 8 AM to 10 AM. Tickets are $6 per person or $25 for a family. Saturday, December 9 - Craft Fair

Make sure to shop locally this holiday season and help support local vendors and crafters in the area. Try to start, finish, or continue your shopping this weekend by attending the Craft Show at Canyon Ridge High School this Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM. Admission is $3 for adults, with kids 10 and under being free. This is the last craft show of the year and is a great way to do some holiday shopping. There are even crafts for kids. Saturday, December 9 - Mingle Jingle Vendor Show

Continue your shopping by heading over to Xavier Charter School on Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM to see what you can find at the Mingle Jingle Vendor Show. Saturday, December 9 - Ripped Swag Winter Event

Continuing a theme of shopping locally this weekend, make sure to check out the Ripped Swag Winter Event this weekend at South Hills Middle School from 10 AM to 4 PM. The event will have many vendors to shop from and will have a little bit of everything from décor, holiday signs, woodwork, crotchet items, car freshies, pet items, wreathes, goodies, food, toys, many gifts, and more. Saturday, December 9 - Christmas Extravaganza

It is a huge weekend for shopping, and one of the events you will want to check out is the Christmas Extravaganza in Hagerman at Prince Memorial Gym. The event will start at 10 AM and go until 4 PM. Saturday, December 9 - Meet Mr. and Mrs. Clause

Have your children been naughty or nice this year? How about you stop by the visitor center in Twin Falls this Saturday and find out, and also grab a free picture with Mr. and Mrs. Clause? The event, put on by the Magic Valley 9/11 Memorial, will be taking place from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM this Saturday.
