As the world nears the two-week point of the United States-Iran military conflict, some of the shockwaves are beginning to be felt in the purses and wallets of Americans. Idaho is one of many states that have experienced a significant spike in fuel costs since the war began on February 28, with the aid of Israel.

Shipping disruptions, the cessation of fuel exports from oil-rich regions, supply fears, and panic buying of gasoline all contribute to higher gas prices during wartime. Some consumer reports estimate a 17 percent increase in fuel costs in America over the past week.

President Donald Trump has called the American fuel price hike "a small price to pay," according to FOX News.

States like Hawaii, Nevada, Washington State, and California have been impacted the hardest as a result of the military conflict. California has seen the average cost of a gallon of gas climb to roughly $5.29. The current cost for a gallon in Idaho is around $3.30.
