Enjoy Music, The Fair, and a Free Movie This Weekend in the Magic Valley

The summer is nearing the end, and for some kids in the Magic Valley, this will be their final weekend of summer vacation. With some starting school next week, this is their final chance to enjoy some summer fun before the end of their vacation. A lot is going on this weekend, and plenty of events to get out and enjoy in the Magic Valley for those looking for fun.

Thursday, August 7, Through Saturday, August 9 - Jerome County Fair

Everyone loves the fair. There are rides, the rodeo, food, entertainment, vendors, and tons to enjoy. While the Twin Falls County Fair isn't for a few more weeks, you don't have to wait as the Jerome County Fair is happening now. Thursday, August 7 - Kids Lasagna Class

Do you have a child who aspires to help in the kitchen and learn to cook? This Thursday at Rudy's in downtown Twin Falls, there will be a kids' lasagna class at 5:30 PM. Thursday, August 7 - Twin Falls Municipal Band Concert

Many enjoy listening to live music, especially when it is free. Take advantage of the nice weather this weekend and head out to Twin Falls City Park this Thursday to enjoy the final concert by the Municipal Band. Friday, August 8 - Ladies' High Tea

Are you someone who enjoys tea and has always wanted to feel British while being at high tea? This is your chance. Ladies' High Tea will be happening this Friday from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Gas Lamp Event Center in downtown Twin Falls. All guests are encouraged to dress to impress for the event. Friday, August 8 and Saturday, August 9 - 'Much Ado About Nothing'

Twin Falls is home to incredible plays and musicals, and if you haven't been to the theatre recently, you are missing out. This weekend, 'Much Ado About Nothing' will be performed at the Orpheum Theatre on Friday and Saturday, with showtimes at 7 PM both nights. Tickets start as low as $17.50. Friday, August 8 - Tyler Braden

With the Jerome County Fair taking place this weekend, there is more than food, the rodeo, and rides. There will also be a concert taking place, and this year, Tyler Braden will be taking the stage on Friday night. The concert will begin at 7:30 PM and tickets are still available. Saturday, August 9 - Market on Main

Time is running out to enjoy the farmers' markets around the Magic Valley. Soon, they will close for the year, and you will have to wait to shop at them once again. One of the best ones to attend is Market on Main, which happens on Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. Shop the market, browse the stores downtown, and enjoy some food. Saturday, August 9 - Queer Connections Rock Painting Night

Meeting people can be tough, especially if you are a part of the LGBTQ community in the Magic Valley. A great way to make some friends or meet some other people is by going to Queer Connections Rock Painting Night at Pop Art Studio this Saturday from 2 PM to 7 PM. Saturday, August 9 - Movie Matinee

Everyone enjoys sitting down, turning their brain off, and getting sucked into a good movie. The only thing better than going to the movies is enjoying a free movie. This Saturday at 3 PM, you can stop by the Twin Falls Public Library and enjoy Movie Matinee. For August, they are doing Retro by Decades and doing a movie from a different decade every month.
