5 Things You Have To See At This Years’ Sept 11th Event In Twin Falls
The September 11th Memorial in Twin Falls this year is bigger and better than ever. There are so many new things that you are not going to want to miss. The event is actually expanded to three days instead of one.
The Massive Flag Coming To Twin Falls
The flag will be here on Friday, September 9th at Canyon Ridge High School. You will be able to see just how large that flag is before it gets hung in the canyon on Saturday, September 10th at 6:30 pm. The flag is part of the "Follow The Flag" organization that hangs a flag spanning over 11 thousand square feet in canyons and around the area. It is going to hang in the canyon until September 17th. That date may move up a day, so if you want to see it, don't wait until the last minute. They need help folding and packing the flag on Saturday at 7 am at Canyon Ridge Gym
Flag Parade Saturday, September 10th
You can help carry a massive flag from the corner of Pole Line and Eastland to the bridge. The flag will be carried by volunteers as it gets paraded to its final resting place near the bridge. There will also be bagpipers and individual flags for people to carry. The flag walk will be on September 10th at 5 pm.
Fly Over The Perrine Bridge
There will be a flyover from pilots at Gowan Field. A Buhl man is going to bring his personal plane to fly with smoke on the back of it. There will be a hot air balloon which is completely new this year. They have some new tricks up their sleeves as well.
Heath Clark At Memorial Event
Heath Clark will be performing on Sunday, September 11th. The September 11th event starts at the Twin Falls Visitor Center from 2 pm until 7 pm. He will be performing throughout the event and he puts on a great show.
Walk Along The Perrine Bridge
When you go to the event, you get a flag to wave along the Perrine Bridge. When everyone walks along the bridge, waving their flags, it is one of the most beautiful sights you can see. You will get goosebumps throughout the entire event from the speakers, the bagpipes, performers, flags, and memories.
DO NOT bring drones at all. Please leave drones at home. If there are drones in the air, the flyover will not happen. Drones have also damaged the flag. Please, leave drones at home.
