The annual St. Patrick's Day Community Festival on Main Street in Twin Falls is Saturday!

The annual Twin Falls St. Patrick's Day Parade isn't until Tuesday (March 17), but there's one heck of a pre-party planned this weekend on Main Street that includes all the familiar sights, smells, sounds, and tastes.

Saturday will be the day to sport some green, dust off all your old themed novelty props, and celebrate the 5th-century Irish bishop who reportedly devoted his life to Christianity. In return, Americans honor Saint Patrick's Day by dyeing their hair green, mixing food coloring into beer, and wearing cheap beaded necklaces with plastic shot glasses attached.

The event promises a safe, secure environment free of automobile traffic, food vendors, live bands, kids' activity areas, a beer garden, and revelers in themed attire.

Corned beef and cabbage, and other munchies, will be available from area eateries and street food vendors. No personal alcohol is allowed in public.

The annual Twin Falls St. Patrick's Day Parade will start at 4 P.M. on Tuesday. Bring your green beads and prepare to be entertained! The festival is appropriate for all ages.
