We Love You Idaho! Rock Band 4 Gets Forever Retired
Idaho lovers of the fourth installment of a popular video game for PlayStation and Xbox will no longer have the opportunity to purchase it through digital stores due to licensing.
What do the bands Aerosmith, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath (RIP Ozzy), and Foo Fighters all have in common? If you said they all ROCK!, you'd be correct, but that's not the answer I was looking for.
The aforementioned bands have all had their illustrious recordings featured on the video game Rock Band, which was first released in November of 2007.
Ah...the life of a rock star. Ninety-nine percent of us will never know what that feels like. Having my wife sitting on the couch, embarrassed, on her phone behind her brothers and I while we played Rock Band for one summer in 2016 was as close to a groupie as I'll ever have.

I was never a hard core player of the game, but for a few months back in the day, Radiohead's 'Creep' was my jam on Rock Band. I could belt out a face-melting vocal cover of the 1992 hit song; you might hear otherwise from my former bandmates, but we've broken up, so screw them.

On October 5, 2025, Rock Band 4 was forever delisted due to expired music licenses, according to IGN. If you already own the game, then you can continue to shred until you DIE! If you're one of the unlucky who has wanted it for a while but didn't pull the trigger, then you're probably in need of a somber, four-minute guitar solo right about now.
