The One Item You Wish You Still Had From Your Idaho Childhood

Have you ever looked through an old photo album at childhood pictures and thought to yourself, "Man, whatever happened to that?" We all flip through the pages and glance from time to time back at what life was like in Idaho growing up, and these types of nostalgic moments usually come with some regret over the things we no longer have that made life that much better for us.

The thing I remember most about my childhood is having freedom at a very young age. By the age of four, I was peddling throughout surrounding neighborhoods on my Big Wheel with no supervision whatsoever. According to my mother, I usually had a banana in one hand and the handle of my three-plastic-wheeled toy cycle in the other. We didn't have a lot, but I had the best damn childhood a kid could ask for.

When I think back about all the Star Wars figures I melted with a lighter, all the priceless (nowadays) baseball cards I stuck in the spokes of my bicycle for that ridiculous engine sound, and all the posters that ended up in the garbage that once were held to the walls of my bedroom with tape, I can't help but shake my head. That old Big Wheel, if it had come with an odometer I would have put a few hundred-thousand miles on that thing easy.
