Idaho Police Share Final Accident Reports of 100 Deadliest Days of Summer

Over Labor Day Weekend and the final days of the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer in Idaho, the Idaho State Police shared the details of two serious accidents that happened on Idaho roads.

A man was seriously injured in western Idaho on September 7th after his vehicle rolled while he was driving at a high speed and two others were injured in eastern Idaho when a trailer came loose from a vehicle on a highway and was hit by an oncoming motorhome.

100 Deadliest Days of Summer in Idaho Ends With 2 Serious Injury Accidents

The single-vehicle injury accident happened on US95 near mile marker 171, around 12:15 AM on September 7th. ISP says the driver of a 2013 Camaro, a 54-year-old male from Payette, was driving at high speeds when he lost control and rolled the car.

He was not wearing a seatbelt, was seriously injured, and taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital.

The other Labor Day weekend accident also happened on September 7th, around 11:15 AM on US26 at mile marker 372. Two vehicles were involved in the crash.

A 2016 Ford F350 pickup towing a camp trailer and a trailer with a Razor on it, driven by a 51-year-old-male of Idaho Falls, Idaho, was traveling westbound on Highway 26.

The trailer with the Razor came detached from the pickup and came to rest in the middle of the westbound lanes.

A 2020 Winnebago motor home towing a 2021 Jeep, driven by a 79-year-old-male of Crestview, Florida, was traveling eastbound on Highway 26 and struck the trailer that was resting in the lanes.

Both occupants of the motorhome were taken to the hospital. The accidents are being investigated by Idaho State Police.

ISP reported a fatal accident in nearly the exact location, US26 at mile marker 372, in October of 2025. A motorcycle rider was killed in that accident after he failed to negotiate the curve in the road.
