
Medical Emergency Believed to be the Cause of Idaho Accident
A recent accident in Post Falls, Idaho is believed to have been caused by a driver experiencing a medical emergency.
Idaho State Police responded to the accident with the help of the Idaho Falls Police Department.
Medical Emergency Believed to be the Cause of Idaho Accident
The Idaho State Police revealed the details of the accident in a news release on February 7th, 2025. Authorities in Post Falls responded to reports of a driver going the wrong way on Interstate 90 in Northern Idaho near the Washington State border.
The ISP report says the wrong way driver was headed westbound on the eastbound shoulder of I90 in a red Honda Ridgeline truck.

The Ridgeline slid from the shoulder down an embankment about 3 miles from the point of the initial report (from milepost 5 to milepost 2) and came to rest.

Police arrived on the scene and requested assistance from medical personnel.
The report doesn’t specify what type of medical emergency the driver experienced, only that it was not alcohol-related. The driver was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
