Mystery Bird Caught On Camera In Idaho South Hills

I'll be one of the first to admit that I don't know much about plant identification or animal tracks. Apparently I can't identify animals either, because I have know idea what we caught on video this week in the South Hills. 

I know what a chicken looks like but I don't think they roam the mountains. I also think I know what a quail looks like and this bird didn't have the right head gear. It was more like a Mohawk than the cute curly feather.

Anybody out there know what kind of bird this is? Is it the Lochness or Bigfoot of mountain fowl?
