Search For Missing Jerome Teenager

The search for a missing Jerome County teenager is underway.  Yesterday the search for 16 year old Joshua Schaeffer of Jerome concentrated on the desert area in northeast Jerome County.  Police say foul play is not suspected since the boy has run away before.  Search and Rescue teams from Jerome, Lincoln and Minidoka Counties participated in the search yesterday.  Schaeffer is described as 5’5 with brown hair and hazel eyes and about 135 pounds.  Authorities say it’s possible the boy could have gotten a ride out of the area.  If you have any information on the whereabouts of 16 year old Joshua Schaeffer you’re asked to call the Jerome County Sheriff’s office.
