Yes, you read that headline correctly. Taco Bell has decided to try to compete with the buzz around Chick-Fil-A and Popeye's by creating their own chicken strips. You will be able to get them in Twin Falls soon.

According to everything that I have been reading, Taco Bell launched the chicken tenders in markets in Ohio and Texas. The tentative plan is to make them nation wide by January 2020.

There has been this weird chicken sandwich war between Popeye's and Chick-Fil-A over the last few months. To those who say chicken tenders can't come from a taco place, Taco Bell says, "Wait a sec, hold my beer."

Instead of normal breading, the chicken tenders are going to be covered in crispy tortilla shells. You will be able to buy just the chicken tenders which will come with their own special sauce. This is assumed to compete with Chick-Fil-a sauce and Cane's sauce. You will also be able to have them in a taco, burrito, quesadilla and I am sure nachos if you ask politely.

Talking to some people about this idea we determined Taco Bell really is on to something here. When you go to Taco Bell you don't expect earth shattering deliciousness but are rarely disappointed. You are likely thrilled because you're drunk and eating a smorgasbord of food for like $3.

I have to try these when they come out. And while I am there I am going to shamelessly order nacho fries and a quesarito. Those two inventions have to be my favorite Taco Bell creations. I am open minded to the tortilla chicken strips and strange sauce.
