Are these leaves that attempted to fall and got caught in the tree, or what are these bundles sitting atop many trees in the Golden State?

Many think these are nests that have been enclosed to keep birds warm for the winter, but they would be wrong.

Is the city looking for free labor? Or is this more along the lines of tamping down chip seal?

Between leaves falling and the inevitable snow that will make its way into the area in the coming weeks and months, it begs to ask, which chore is worse?

I love fall, it is beautiful and the leaves are changing colors. But those leaves also can make a mess. I have to admit I haven't always raked up my leaves but I found out some pretty scary reasons that it is important to make sure they get picked up.

It is almost September, and even if fall doesn't officially start until September 22nd, there are leaves that are going to change within a week or so, if they haven't already slowly started. If you are looking to go check out fall foliage, you better start planning those trips now.

I have never really seen anything like it before. The leaves on the new growth in the South Hills appear shiny and almost wet. It first glance they almost look like they are fake plants you would get from a craft store.

Business opportunities are all around us, I don't see them but other people are more motivated (or perceptive) and see money-making potential everywhere.
