We hope you find a nice, dark spot to view this month. Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve, in southern Idaho, is one of the best spots in the state for these types of events.
For the next week, you may see more weird stuff in the sky over Idaho than we normally see. The Lyrid meteor shower begins this week and peaks next Thursday.
Tonight will be a great night to step outside and watch for the meteors because the moon will be just a sliver of light and we'llhave clear skies for weather.
