The Love Lock Fence has been by the canyon rim trail for a while now, and it has also been vandalized several times since I have lived here. It was replaced by a sturdier fence recently but that apparently hasn't stopped the vandals.
Friday morning firefighters found a piece of equipment being used to fight the Badger Fire had been vandalized and the Forest Service is information on the crime.
There have been a couple of recent area taggings similar to this one, including the vandalism of historic sites near the City of Rocks earlier this year, in which no arrest has still been made.
The Shoshone Police Department is asking for anyone's help who may know who started a fire in the city park bathrooms. The incident happened yesterday afternoon around 2:40 p.m.
State employees have been able to repair scratches made to a replica Liberty Bell that sits prominently in front of the Idaho Statehouse. According to Idaho State Police, the vandalism happened sometime Saturday evening when a man parked a care in front of the bell, got out and used a sharp object to scratch an expletive into the metal bell.
Restoration work has begun on historic rock markings at the City of Rocks National Reserve. In a social media post caretakers showed before and after pictures of and area tagged with graffiti in April at the reserve near the small community of Almo.
Another rash of eggings to Twin Falls homes and automobiles was recently shared through social media by a local woman who had three family automobiles hit near Gardner Avenue over the weekend.
