Teenager Shoots His Parents After Bible Study

We are seeing and hearing stories too often now of random acts of stupidity and unkindness. It is easy to blame society or the parents in many situations, and honestly in this story I am not sure who to blame. This kid shot his parents after they told him to put the Bible down and do his chores. Before we go any further it is important to note that the parents are fine...now - For starters I think it is fantastic that the kid was doing some scripture studying. I also think it is great that the parents were giving this kid responsibilities around the house. So maybe this was a moment of too much of a good thing, or everything in its own time? I also think that the parents should encourage their son to study the scriptures a little more...maybe he will make it to the part where it tells him to honor his father and mother? He's in juvenile detention now being held without bond.
