TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – If you haven’t yet been to the U-pick garden at the College of Southern Idaho, you might be one of the lonely few.

The garden, located on CSI’s Breckenridge Endowment Farm on North College Road, has been a popular spot this season. Though vegetable and berry availability vary day by day, according to the college, more produce will be ripening soon.

Generally speaking right now, the garden features tomatoes, onions, green beans, eggplant, lots of jalapenos, yellow peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, and summer squash – all for 75-cents a pound.

Ripening soon will be watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, and winter squash. Apples will also be ready in September.

Raspberries also are available for $3 per pound.

Picking times are now 8 a.m.to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. No picking appointments are necessary.
