Wildfire Near Rogerson Proving Tough To Snuff Out

One large wildfire continues to burn in the Magic Valley area this morning.  The Point Fire is  burning about 10 miles to the south of Rogerson. It was sparked Saturday night and is believed to be lighting caused. It’s estimated to be about 700 acres and is 50–percent contained. Meanwhile the Deadhorse Fire, sparked by last week’s lighting storms, burned more than 6,500 acres of BLM land and 400 plus acres of private land. Crews expected to have that fire under control last evening.
