Drugs and Alcohol Possible Factor in Idaho Car Crash

ISP also responded to and is investigating an accident that occurred earlier on Wednesday. A 2-vehicle injury crash on US 95 at West Elmira Road in Bonner County a few minutes after 2 PM blocked traffic in both directions for about 2 hours. ISP reports:

The driver of a white Mercury Grand Marquis crossed the double center line and struck a maroon Chevrolet Malibu head-on. Both drivers, in their early 50s, were transported via ground ambulance to the hospital where they were treated for injuries resulting from the crash. The driver of the Chevrolet was then taken to a separate facility for further treatment.

Evidence found on scene indicates that drugs and/or alcohol may have been involved in this crash.
