What a great weekend! We had a wonderful Mother's Day and Mother Nature blessed us with great weather. We celebrated with a trip to see the Shoshone Falls and some outdoor adventure at Dierkes Lake. My wife may be angry to know that there are local growers who already have produce and goods to sell at the Magic Valley Farmers Market. Her garden currently stands about 3 inches tall. Today is the opening day for the market and will run Saturdays through October 26th on North College Road across from the CSI Expo Center from 9am to 2pm.

I realized something today while talking to a few mothers about their favorite gifts from their kids. They were most grateful and fond of gifts that were made by their children. It wasn't the spa day or the clothing - it was the gift from the heart of their kids.

I love seeing events like this become so huge! This year for the 28th Annual Paint Magic there are about 600 people divided in 23 teams ready to paint houses for their elderly or disabled neighbors in the Magic Valley.

Today has been designated as a day to give and focus on how the many non-profit charities in Idaho have helped and continue to help Idahoans. Starting this morning at Midnight until Midnight tonight you can donate online to the charity of your choice.

Back in March it was announced that a company called Mars One was planning to settle Mars. All they needed was a few willing people to take the one way trip. Well, Twin Falls they have started the application process and you could be one of the 24 finalists!

Thank goodness we finally had a nice weekend in Twin Falls! The weather worked out great for all of the planned activities, unless you had planned on building a snow cave - then you were probably disappointed. At the Bird House we got in some kite flying, biking, yard sales, yard work, and of course a little bit of a sun burn.

The nice weather is here and the Drive Ins are taking full advantage of it! You can get everybody in your car into either Drive In for just $10 per car. So buckle up your seat belts and get to the big screen this weekend!

Easter Sunday is tomorrow. For many people Easter is all about the family party, egg hunt, and candy baskets. It is nice to know that the majority of Americans will also be attending church to celebrate the actually meaning and reason of Easter which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I think that most people have a good memory of being at the Drive In Theater...especially if you grew up in the 60's and 70's :) Times are changing though and everything is going digital and this could mean the end of our local Drive Ins.

We don't know if it was the hair, the clothes, or the music that made the 70's so memorable...here's one thing we know for sure - Disco is not dead! State farm is giving $25,000 to 40 different worthy causes. What they need from you is knowledge of the needs. Maybe the school needs an updated playground or lockers.
