Digital Dementia Is Causing Us To Forget How To Remember Phone Numbers

For the most part we can agree that technology is a good thing and is helping make the world a better place. On the other hand is it also making us dumber? A study found that cell phones are giving us "digital dementia" which means we can't remember phone numbers as well. Now, think about it - when you were young how many numbers did you have memorized? Think about how many numbers you can remember from memory right now. I know 5 phone numbers by heart. Mine, my wife, my parents, the radio station, and 911. When I was in high school I knew all types of numbers! My friends, girls, the pizza place, movie theater hotline - they were all stored in my head. Now we store them in our phones and never think about them again.
