We are heading into the weekend with a beautiful Friday happening...but if you need a little more to get you excited and ready to take on the weekend, here's a list of celebrities who are smarter than you think, and a classic criminal blunder in today's Knucklehead in the News.

KNUCKLEHEADS IN THE NEWS

It’s always fun to read about an idiot getting busted for disability insurance fraud.

COOLEST THING YOU’LL SEE ALL DAY

Just some Friday fun – one of the coolest dogs you’ll ever see.

HOMELESS SPEIDI

In just a few short years, Spencer and Heidi Pratt went from reality show royalty to homeless and humble.

The couple, known as "Speidi," is reportedly now living with Spencer's parents with no new "projects" on the horizon.

"Reality TV is not a career," says Spencer. "Anyone who says, 'Oh, you can have a career in reality' -- that is a lie."

With no one breaking down the door to offer him work, Spencer is thinking about going back to college.

No word on what surgically altered Heidi plans to do for a living.

CAR TALK

Do you talk to your car? Not in a Michael Knight and KITT kind of way, but more in a "I'm alone in the car with no one to speak to" kind of way? There's a pretty good chance that you do.

According to new research, 33 percent of car owners admit to talking to their cars. Drivers talk about regular day-to-day matters as well as frustrations on the road.

  • 16 percent of men say think of their car as female.
  • Many even give their cars a name, which psychologists say is actually not a bad idea because it makes us think of the car as a pet that we want to take good care of.

CELEBRITIES WHO ARE SMARTER THAN YOU MAY THINK

Sure, plenty of celebrities are famous because of their looks alone. But there are also some celebrities with as much brain power as beauty ...

  • Kate Beckinsale -- She was an award-winning writer as a teen and studied French and Russian Literature in college.
  • Steve Martin -- He's a talented playwright, a music composer, a member of MENSA and a Grammy winner.
  • Shakira -- According to some reports, she has an IQ of 140, which is bordering on genius levels.
  • Cindy Crawford -- She was valedictorian of her high school class, had a 4.0 grade average and was awarded a full ride to Northwestern University to study chemical engineering.
  • James Franco -- He's currently a Ph.D. student in English at Yale.

KIDS ARE SEEING A LOT OF JUNK FOOD COMMERCIALS

Over the past few years, there has been a huge push to control the messages kids are getting on television about healthy eating and exercise.

While progress has been made, a new study shows that children are still seeing lots of junk food commercials.

Researchers found that nearly all the food and drink commercials aimed at kids are for foods with loads of sugar, salt and fat.

Food and drink advertising on TV is still a big business, with about $745 million being spent each year -- and more than half of those dollars spent trying to reach kids under the age of 12.
