Nobody likes it when things are stinky or dirty - except pigs...I believe they like that. That's how it was in the Dark Ages and that is why we changed things! On May 21st the city of Jerome will vote on a $48.6 million bond to update and expand the current waste water treatment facility. The money would be used to correct existing waste water deficiencies in Jerome and expand the capabilities to allow for growth in Jerome businesses and the population.

The mayor and facility representatives say this vote needs to pass for many reasons. The EPA requirements are strict and the current facility is not up to par. The bond money will help improve the facility and also expand its capabilities. This is good news for Jerome now and in the future because to expand (which Jerome is doing) the facility will be able to keep up and ahead of demand. The improvements will also bring money to the city by being more appealing to future or prospective businesses.
