When Mother Nature decides to give the nod of approval by keeping the temperatures in Southern Idaho below freezing, the Ice Palace at Labelle Lake in Rigby Idaho can open to the public.

Is the Labelle Lake Ice Palace Open in Idaho?

That time is now. The Labelle Lake Ice Palace is finally open and is as beautiful as ever, but this year the attraction has added a number of special events that only add to the appeal. You can visit the Ice Palace only on Friday and Saturday each week plus a few special events, including 2 days of scavenger hunts.

Tickets can be purchased online for a discounted price which is also where you can see what special events will be happening each day. More information on each event and tickets after this beautiful gallery of pictures from the Labelle Lake Ice Palaces.

Each day includes animals, character meet and greets, fire performances, ice formations, and kiddie sledding hills. Some days will have special guests like the Grinch on January 27th. The Winter Festival is on February 3rd, the 17th is ‘A Galaxy Far Away’ day (which sounds like a Star Wars day), and on President’s Day, kids get in for half price to see the Royal Coronation.

There are also 2 scavenger hunts coming up. For MLK Day, the Ice Palaces will be open for a special day from 2-9 PM with a scavenger hunt and half-price tickets for kids. Another scavenger hunt will happen on February 23rd, the day before they close for the season.
