2 Injured in Crash South of Twin Falls Tuesday Afternoon

CORRECTION UPDATE FROM ISP: Idaho State Police have clarified that the accident was on US-30 and E 3300 N (previously noted as 3300 E), in Twin Falls County.

A 2 car crash south of Twin Falls Tuesday sent both drivers to the hospital.

The accident blocked a section of Highway for around 2 and a half hours while emergency crews worked the scene.

Police Respond to Injury Accident Near Murtaugh

Idaho State Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene of the crash which happened around 2:43 on Tuesday afternoon. The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 30 and 3300 East in Twin Falls County, south of Murtaugh City and north of Murtaugh Lake. The ISP report states:

A 94-year-old male, driving a 2008 Lexus RX, was stopped at the intersection of 3300 E and US-30.  A 31-year-old female was driving a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder westbound on US-30. The Lexus pulled out in front of the Nissan and the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

The driver of the Lexus was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the Nissan was transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

The accident is being investigated by ISP and the police were assisted by Twin Falls County Sheriff's Officers and Magic Valley Paramedics.

Fatal Accident East of Burley Saturday Evening

ISP are also investigating a fatal accident that happened late Saturday evening around 9PM on Old Highway 30 near 2450 East. The driver of a Can-Am side-by-side was injured and his passenger was killed when they struck a cow. The driver was airlifted to a local hospital.
