“Rolling Stone’s” 16 Greatest Rock ‘N’ Roll Christmas Songs
I am pretty easy to please...but I get a little tired 0f all the "best of" list that come out at the end of each year. Many of them are great and provide real info while others seem like a project they gave to the intern, and he polled a group of kindergarten kids for the results...this I think is one of those polls. "Rolling Stone" has put together a list of The Greatest Rock 'N' Roll Christmas Songs. There are 16 of them . . . but not all of them are "rock 'n' roll."
Here's the list, which doesn't appear to be in any particular order or very rock'n'roll at all:
--"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)", Darlene Love (1963)
--"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)", John Lennon (1971)
--"Santa Claus Is Coming to Town", Bruce Springsteen (1985)
--"All I Want For Christmas Is You", Mariah Carey (1994)
--"Little Saint Nick", The Beach Boys (1963)
--"Run Rudolph Run", Chuck Berry (1958)
--"The Chanukah Song", Adam Sandler (1994)
--"Frosty the Snowman", The Ronettes (1963)
