A Shoshone family has reached out for help after their son was diagnosed with a rare skull condition known as plagiocephaly. If you don't know what this is, don't feel bad. I had to Google it, too.

This young guy is Lane Naylor. Here's his story from the GoFundMe page set up by Lane's aunt, Randi Oneida.

My nephew has diagnosed with plagiocephaly, which is a condition that causes flattening on a part of the head. Lane needs a hamlet to even out the growth of his skull. The helmet is not covered by his insurance  The cost is $3000.00.

The Wikipedia page for this condition goes into more detail about plagiocephaly.

Plagiocephaly, also known as flat head syndrome,[1][2] is a condition characterized by an asymmetrical distortion (flattening of one side) of the skull. It is characterized by a flat spot on the back or one side of the head caused by remaining in a supine position for too long.

Lane's mom has gone back to work, but the family is struggling to come up with the funds to help get the helmet doctors say he needs. If you feel compelled to help, the GoFundMe page has been set up to benefit this young child.
