July 24, 2012 I am all for people following their dreams, putting it all out there, trying their best...and hoping it all goes well. So, kudos to Rachel Wyatt for winning Miss Teen South Carolina and celebrating by "Tebowing"! I say she can celebrate how she wants, since last time we heard from Miss Teen South Carolina, she wasn't sure there were enough maps in the world.
As Memorial Day opens the gate to summer, we all begin to plan our outdoor activities. Most of us will find a reason to get outside for the long weekend and enjoy food, friends, family and some delicious beverages. And really, it wouldn’t be a summer holiday without some grilling.
January 6, 2012 I thought the point of a New Year's resolution was to make a major life change and just maybe find the strength to pull it off. Apparently I'm naïve. According to a new survey, 60% of Americans who make New Year's resolutions admit they know they're going to break it at some point during the year. In other words - they make the resolutions even though they know they'll fail.

The Postal Service just can't catch a break, man. Back in December, they released new stamps featuring the Statue of Liberty. And now, a stamp-collecting magazine has pointed out that the Lady Liberty featured in the photo isn’t the one that has spent the last 125 years in New York Harbor, rather it’s a 14-year-old replica which currently sits in front of the New York-New York casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
