What ever happened to a nice suit and a tie? Well, I guess if our Olympic team walked into the opening ceremony in all black suits they would probably look like the mafia, so maybe a little diversity is good...but the outfits this year go a bit too far!

I'm going to call this the first real Olympic controversy so far.  RALPH LAUREN just revealed the official outfits he designed for the U.S. athletes to wear during the opening ceremonies on July 27th. And they make our athletes look like French sailors.  Which is not a good thing.

The outfits feature navy blue blazers, white pants for the men and white skirts for the women, with red, white, and blue neckties...and BERETS.  That's right, berets.

Ralph Lauren's son David, who runs the company's marketing, described the berets as, quote, "really fun."  They're already selling the berets online for $55 - the rest of the outfit costs up to $795.
