America, when it comes to making friends and keeping allies - don't drop bombs on them! During a training exercise this week American jets accidentally dropped bombs on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Fortunately, they weren't real bombs. They were practice bombs since Navy was doing a training drill.

The Great Barrier Reef is considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and it's about as protected of a site as there is. So it is not OK to drop bombs on or near them.

As should be expected, Australia is pretty upset and the Navy says they're working with Australia to figure out what went wrong.  So take a note America - when you accidentally bomb a legendary, protected, fragile natural resources, Australia will not shrug it off.
