Last fall, true freshman Hank Bachmeier hit came onto the college football stage in loud fashion. A difficult, true road game at Florida State demanded leadership and a quarterback that none of us had watched and had never touched a football in his collegiate career...charged Boise State on to victory. Of course, any Boise State football fan will remember just how sloppy that position became as the year went on. Injuries plagued Boise State's football program behind center and at one point head coach Bryan Harsin went as far as fourth string on the depth chart.

As we look forward to a new season, many assume that Bachmeier will be healthy and back for his sophomore season. While this may be true, he won't go un-contested. Just announced this week, Boise State has landed a grad transfer from Pac-12 powerhouse USC. Yes...the University of Southern California Trojans.

Jack Sears will have two years of eligibility and we're all excited to see what he might bring to the team!
