3 Vehicle Accident in Idaho Leaves 1 Dead and 1 in the Hospital
Idaho State Police in Southern Idaho responded to a multi-vehicle accident Friday morning that ended in 1 fatality and 1 person sent to a local hospital.
1 Killed in a Southern Idaho Car Accident Near Boise
The 3-car crash happened in Canyon County to the northwest of Boise near Caldwell on Friday morning just before 8 at the intersection of Ustick Road and Farmway Road.
A 2012 Jeep Cherokee, driven by an 80-year-old male from Caldwell, was traveling westbound on Ustick Road. The Jeep stopped at the stop sign and failed to yield, where it collided with a 1998 Dodge Ram pick-up, driven by a 40-year-old male from Caldwell traveling southbound. The Dodge then collided with a 1998 Infinity QX4 driven by a 64-year-old male from Marsing, traveling northbound on Farmway Road.
The driver of the Infinity succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The drivers of the Jeep and the Infinity were wearing seatbelts. The driver of the Dodge was not wearing his seatbelt and was transported to a local hospital via private vehicle.
The accident blocked the area around the intersection for about 3 hours. ISP is investigating the accident.

Police also released the following information about a current accident they are responding to. Once the accident is cleared and ISP releases more information, we will update the story:
Idaho State Police is currently on scene and investigating a multi-vehicle crash westbound I90 near milepost 10.5, just west of Northwest Blvd. in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The highway is blocked, please avoid the area if possible.
UPDATE: The accident in Coeur d'Alene has been cleared.
