Convicted Sex Offender in Sacramento Area Indicted for Distribution of Child Pornography

A California man is awaiting a court date for an indictment on his alleged receipt of child pornography. An indictment is not a guilty charge, therefore Kevin Dail Meadors is considered innocent until proven guilty.

Meadors’ charge claims he received child pornography, including depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Meadors has a prior conviction of committing ‘lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14.’

If convicted in court, Meadors would be required to serve a minimum of 15 years in prison, but up to 40 years and pay a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is determined in court after a guilty verdict is given.
